Victory Day Observed At PXB College
Sinthia, PXB College / Staff reporter, Dhaka, 17, December,
2018:
Yesterday, the victory day was
held in PXB College yesterday with great enthusiasm and solemnity. On the occasion,
the college campus was decorated with colorful flags and festoons. A big stage
was set up in front of the academic building. A beautiful gate was also erected
to the entrance of the college. After all, the day was very festive look. The
principal of the college presided over the function. The chief guest was the
local MP. The TNO and the Upazila Chairman were the especial guests. Many local
elites and guardians were also invited to the ceremony. Besides, the people of
all walks were present to enjoy the function.
At 7 am, after singing the national anthem and hoisting the national
flag the principal inaugurated the function. Then a long discussion meeting was
started on the liberation war. The principal, assistant professors, lecturers,
other college staffs, invited guests and the students of the college delivered
their warm and valuable speeches. They focused on the courage and great
sacrifice of the heroic sons of the country. The chief guest showed a deep
tribute to the martyrs and advised the students to be the real citizens and
asked to build a corruption free country. Then many of the students performed patriotic
songs. Some danced and some recited the poem “Tarer Oye Loyho Kopat” composed
by our national poet Kazi Nazrul Islam.
The last attraction of the function was
a drama named “Sadhinauta Tumi”. At 5 pm, the chief guest distributed the
prizes among the winners. And at last, thanking all, the principal concluded
the function. After all, the day was enjoyed greatly by all the audiences.
