Once there
lived a very clever fox in a jungle. He always wanted to be the cheap of all
the foxes. One day while he was walking through the forest, he fell into a
trap. It was really a terrible situation for the cunning fox. He struggled hard
and was able to come out of the trap minus his tail.
Without
tail the fox looked ugly and foolish. He felt shame for his strange look and
did not come out of his hole for some days. He became very envious of the other
foxes as they looked beautiful with their bushy tails.
The thought
several times thinking how to cut the other fox’s tails off. He hit upon a plan
and called a meeting. The next morning all the foxes came to the clever fox and
waiting for his speech. The cunning fox
started with a sweet and friendly voice. “My dear friends! I have made a great
discovery after a long research. I have find that we do not need to keep our
tails. They are of little use. They are nothing but increase our weight. As a
result after hunting, when we try to escape, it slows down our speed. So what’s
the benefit of carrying such an unnecessary and a risky tail? So, let’s cut our
tails off. Look friend, I have already cut off my tail.” Hearing the logical explanation of the clever
fox, all the foxes became very charmed. Some foxes were also in confused. But
an old understood the evil intension of the cunning fox. He stood up and said,
“Dear friends, do not follow his advice. Perhaps he had fallen into a trap and
was able to come out of the trap without his tail. Notice, how ugly he looks
now. So to get rid of his shame, he wanted us to be tailless.” All the foxes
got furious. Seeing the situation beyond control, the cunning fox fled away.
