Once there lived a fox in a jungle. One hot summer noon, he
became very hungry and thirsty. So, he started searching for food and drink. But unfortunately, he
found nothing to eat. He kept searching for something to eat for a long time in
the forest. Finding nothing, his hunger grew higher and higher. He roamed here
and there for something to satisfy his hunger. After a long walk, he discovered
a vineyard.
There were huge ripe grapes hanging high. He became very
glad and thought himself,” The juicy ripe grapes will be very delicious and
will be a fantastic meal.” So, he wanted to have some of those. But alas! All
the grapes were beyond his reach.
He started jumping again and again but failed to grab
them. After several attempts, the fox
got tired and became very sad for not getting them. At the same time, he
realized that it was quite useless for him to try anymore. He gave up the hope.
Finally decided to leave the place and consoled himself
saying,” The grapes are sour. I have no desire to enjoy them anyway.”
Moral of the story:
It’s easy to hate what you cannot get.
Don't desire the thing beyond your capacity and be satisfied
with what you have.
