Water Pollution
Water, the vital element of the environment is an
indispensable part of human, animals and plants. But water can be polluted in
many ways. People pollute water by throwing waste into it. Farmers pollute
water by using chemical fertilizers and pesticides in their fields. Mills and
factories are also responsible for water pollution. They often leave their
poisonous chemicals and waste products into rivers and canals and pollute
water. Again, unsanitary latrines and unsafe drains cause serious water
pollution. Watercrafts like launches, steamers and engine boats contaminate
water by dumping oil, food waste and human waste. Super tankers and power
houses also play a great role to contaminate water. Polluted water is a threat
for human existence. Polluted water carries many water borne diseases like cholera,
diarrhea etc. that take away many precious lives every year. To minimize water
pollution people should be aware of its serious effects. Government and Mass

rain and flood water, water is polluted seriously. Mills and factories are also
responsible for water pollution. They often discharge poisonous chemicals and
waste products into rivers and canals and pollute water. Unsanitary latrines
and unsafe drains also cause serious water pollution. Various water vehicles
like launches, steamers and engine boats contaminate water by dumping oil, food
waste and human waste. Besides, pilfering oil from supper tankers and power
houses plays a great role to pollute water. In this way, water is being
polluted and creating many water borne diseases like cholera, diarrhea etc.

causes of air pollution? How do people pollute air and how? What are the main
sources of air pollution? In what areas air pollution is acute? What is the
impact or effect of air pollution? How do we get rid of air pollution?
Answer:
Air Pollution
Pollution means the contamination of air, water, sound, soil
etc. Air is the most important element of the environment. We cannot live a
single moment without air. Clean air is essential for life. But air is polluted
in many ways. The most common agent that pollutes air is smoke. When we cook
food, burn waste and bricks, huge smoke are created and air is polluted
seriously. Terrific air pollution occurs in cities and industrial areas where
mills and factories emit lot of smoke. Besides, numerous vehicles such as
buses, trucks, cars etc. plying on the roads burn petrol, diesel oil and
pollute the air. Again, railways engines, power houses are not less responsible
for air pollution. By inhaling polluted air we become very sick. So, we should
always keep our environment clean for our own interest. Govt. should take steps
to ban the smoke creating vehicles and set up industries away from localities.
Tree plantation is another effective way to minimize air pollution. People of
all classes should be aware of it.

animals. But people pollute this integral element in many ways. Man creates
fire to cook food, burn bricks, and garbage and melt pitch for road
construction. Different types of vehicles buses, trucks, cars, steamers,
launches, engine boats, and airplanes produce smoke abnormally and contribute
to pollute the air. Railways engines and power houses are also the great sources
of air pollution. All these activities need to use petrol, diesel and coal
which emit huge smoke in the air and the air gets polluted. Air pollution
impacts highly in big cities and towns especially in the industrial areas.
Polluted air carries lots of harmful germs. Consequently, people fall victim to
many serious diseases. To solve or reduce air pollution we should have
determined and concerted effort first. Mills and factories should be
constructed away from city or residential areas. Excessive smoke creating
vehicles should be restricted and more trees should be planted. Finally, to
