Yesterday, 119th birth anniversary of our national poet, Kazi Nazrul Islam was celebrated all over the country. The day was also observed in KD College with great enthusiasm and due respect.  On this occasion, KD College arranged an elaborate programme. The programme included seminar, discussion meeting, recitation competition, Nazrul Sangeet etc. The college auditorium was decorated gorgeously. The TNO was the chief guest and the Thana Education Officer was especial guest. 

The students and teachers of the college were present. Besides, local elites, many intellect personalities and guardians were present there. At 8 am, reciting from holly Quran, the prongramme was started. Many students, teachers and invited guests discussed on Nazrul’s life, his patriotism, and contribution to Bengali literature. Some students recited poems and sang songs composed by Nazrul. At last, the chief guest distributed prizes among the winners after delivering his valuable speech. At 5 pm the principal of the college concluded the function thanking all.
